Aboriginal rock
art - Nourlangie
Hand stencils -
Nanguluwur.
Looking up under
a rock shelf about 15 feet above the ground you can make out dozens of
hand prints
made by spraying
a mixture of ochre and water from the mouth to produce a stencil effect.
Unlike Nourlangie
- with its coach loads of tourists and tarmac paths - Nanguluwur was very
quiet,
in fact we were
the only people there. Maybe something to do with the unbelievably hot
2 mile
bush walk to get
there. Incidently the other hand prints used on these pages belong to us
and were
created using a
scanner and graphics software!

Oh yes, and we took
